The Estalagem SerraGolf is the result of the complete refurbishment of a 1920’s Madeira Island Quinta, belonging to the same family since it’s construction and whose architectural features and historical value make the property and its surroundings a very romantic and relaxing place. In the 1940’s it functioned as a teahouse (Casa de Chá do Santo da Serra) and later on as the golf club house.

The Estalagem is situated in the picturesque village of Santo da Serra, surrounded by an important and dense woodland, part of the marvellous “laurissilva” forest, classified as world heritage in 1999. The proximity to the “levadas” (water courses) and “veredas” (footpaths) of Madeira permits lovely and unforgettable walking.

The beach of Santa Cruz and the airport are only 10 minutes away, and Funchal is within a mere 20 minutes.

The Estalagem SerraGolf is the ideal accomodation for a holiday dedicated to the practice of golf, since the wonderful Santo da Serra Golf Course (official place for the Madeira Open Tournament with 27 holes) is only a few minutes walking. As the Estalagem is an associate member of the Santo da Serra Golf Club its guests are guaranteed starting times, hire of golf equipment and even a 30 per cent discount in green fees.

We are open since March 12, 2001 and have already have already been the accomodation for numerous golfers of international prestige as well as PGA members.
